Job summary

Framework - Construction Recruiting seeks an experienced Site Safety and Health Officer to lead safety programs across multiple active job sites. You will enforce safety standards, conduct inspections, and ensure OSHA compliance while coordinating with field staff and subcontractors.

This role requires travel to project locations, strong communication, incident investigation, and the ability to maintain audit-ready records in Procore. A competitive salary, PTO, and health benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as a dedicated safety professional on construction projects.
• Valid First Aid and CPR certification at time of hire.
• Working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Construction Industry Standards.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Site Safety and Health Officer to lead jobsite safety programs across a growing general contractor's project portfolio. This role is responsible for enforcing safety standards, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance across active job sites. Travel to project locations is required.

What You'll Do

• Develop, implement, and enforce site-specific safety plans and hazard analyses across active job sites
• Conduct daily site safety inspections and document findings, corrective actions, and close-out
• Lead daily safety briefings, toolbox talks, and weekly safety meetings with subcontractors and field staff
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents, and complete required reporting and root-cause analysis
• Monitor subcontractor compliance with site-specific safety plans and applicable regulations
• Maintain audit-ready safety documentation and records in Procore
• Verify competent and qualified person designations for high-hazard activities
• Support new-hire and subcontractor safety orientations, including site-specific hazard training

What You'll Bring

• 3+ years of experience as a dedicated safety professional on construction projects
• Valid First Aid and CPR certification at time of hire
• Working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Construction Industry Standards
• Working knowledge of core safety competencies including fall protection, scaffolding, confined space, excavation and trenching, mobile elevated work platforms, and lockout/tagout
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of Procore and Microsoft Office preferred
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
• Ability to pass a background check
