We are seeking a Site Safety Manager responsible for overseeing and implementing corporate safety programs at various Brennan project sites.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and document the effectiveness of safety control measures throughout the project.
- Assist supervisors in implementing safety programs.
- Perform site safety inspections, including checks on boats, fire extinguishers, spill prevention, first aid supplies, flammable storage, equipment, and tools.
- Investigate occupational incidents, accidents, and injuries to determine causes and violations of standards.
- Conduct safety meetings with field personnel and contractors.
- Evaluate working conditions and recommend safety improvements.
- Ensure site operations comply with safety policies.
- Explain occupational safety standards and relevant laws to all stakeholders.
- Organize and conduct safety training, including Red Cross, RXR field training, Boater Safety, etc.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-5 years of safety experience, preferably within marine construction.
- Knowledge of safety programs, OSHA, US Army Corps of Engineers, US Coast Guard, NFPA, RXR, and project-specific safety requirements.
- Ability to learn monitoring equipment and obtain OSHA 132 and EM 385 certifications within the first year.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills; self-starter, highly organized, and creative.
- Superior time management and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Willingness to travel 100% to project sites.
