Salary Range: $80,000–$100,000 / Year, DOE

Take ownership of safety for an established electrical contractor where your decisions will have a direct impact on employees, projects, and the company’s continued growth. The Site Safety Manager will lead the development, implementation, and enforcement of company-wide safety programs while remaining highly visible in the field, conducting inspections, managing compliance, and partnering with project teams to prevent incidents before they happen. This is a hands‑on, autonomous role reporting directly to the CEO with a clear mandate to strengthen the company’s zero‑incident culture, maintain OSHA and NFPA 70E compliance and help reduce its Experience Modification Rate (EMR).

The ideal candidate is a confident, highly organized construction safety professional who understands electrical contracting and underground work, can command respect in the field and knows how to address unsafe behavior constructively while building strong relationships with experienced crews.

Responsibilities
  • Own the development, implementation, and ongoing enforcement of corporate safety programs, policies, and procedures
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA Part 1926, NFPA 70E and applicable construction safety regulations
  • Conduct regular jobsite inspections, identify hazards and work directly with field teams to implement corrective actions
  • Partner with project managers, foremen and operations leadership to strengthen safe work practices across active projects
  • Lead safety training, toolbox talks and ongoing education for field personnel
  • Investigate incidents, identify root causes and implement preventive measures designed to reduce risk and improve EMR
  • Serve as the company’s primary safety authority, independently managing day‑to‑day field execution and broader safety initiatives
Requirements
  • 3–5+ years of construction safety experience with specific expertise in electrical contracting and underground work
  • Experience working for an electrical subcontractor, general contractor, or similar construction environment
  • OSHA 30 Construction and current CPR/First Aid certifications required
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA Part 1926 standards and NFPA 70E regulations
  • Electrical knowledge and experience around heavy equipment and active construction environments
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage a safety function without dedicated administrative support
  • Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills with the confidence to challenge unsafe behavior while maintaining productive relationships with field teams
  • CSP or CHST designation preferred; candidates actively pursuing either certification will also be considered
Benefits
  • Company-paid Kaiser health insurance covering 100% of premiums for the employee and immediate family after 90 days
  • 401(k) with company matching after six months of service
  • Paid time off with increased accrual based on tenure
  • 10 paid company holidays
  • Company vehicle and cell phone provided for position‑related responsibilities
  • Quarterly bonus opportunities
  • Support for obtaining CSP or CHST certification and significant growth opportunity as the company expands
