Job summary

Catamount Constructors, Inc. is seeking a Site Safety Health Officer (SSHO) to implement the project’s safety and health plan and ensure compliance across all phases. The SSHO coordinates with subcontractors, analyzes hazards, and confirms that every worker has the required skills and training before starting work.

The role requires OSHA 500 certification current status, OSHA30, BCSP, First Aid and CPR, plus strong leadership to train and supervise safety initiatives on site.

Qualifications

• Four years of training and related experience.
• Ability to enforce federal, state, local regulations.
• Knowledge of hazard analysis and control measures.
• OSHA 500 certification must be current.
• OSHA30, BCSP, First Aid and CPR required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate safety and health plan elements with subcontractors and site contractors.
• Prepare hazard analyses for each phase of work.
• Ensure employees have necessary training and qualifications.
• Deliver initial site safety orientation and phase-specific trainings.
• Train the trainer and supervise ongoing safety training.
• Ensure completion of hazard analysis sign-ins and records.
• Provide advance notice of trainings to the Project Manager.
• Enforce the Project Safety and Health Plan.
• Willingness to perform other safety-related tasks as required.
