Job summary

Ralph L. Wadsworth Construction is seeking a Construction Safety Coordinator to strengthen our safety culture on major civil projects. You will lead site safety activities, enforce rules, and help ensure every worker returns home safe each day.

We look for a Bachelor's in Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent) and 1+ year of construction safety experience, plus a solid grasp of OSHA regulations. Travel to regional jobsites is required; Spanish is a strong plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent field.
• 1+ year of construction health & safety experience (Internships count!).
• Solid understanding of OSHA, federal, and state safety regulations.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Spanish fluency (read, write, and speak) is a strong plus.
• Strong communicator with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Collaborative, proactive, and great at building trust across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead site safety activities & enforce safety rules
• Conduct inspections, audits, and hazard analyses
• Report to Division Safety Manager weekly/monthly
• Investigate accidents & coordinate with Risk Management
• Travel to regional jobsites as needed
