Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Safety, Health and Environment (HSE) Manager in Houston, TX to oversee the safety and security of the facility, operations and staff. You will ensure compliance with safety programs, develop annual goals and implement policies aligned with site vision.

The role requires 3 years in logistics, forklift training, knowledge of safety management systems, and strong Microsoft Office skills.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience in a logistics/distribution environment.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in safety observations/inspections and implementing compliance plans.
• Knowledge of safety and health management systems and practices.
• Forklift training certification preferred.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, verbal).

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the overall safety and security of assigned facility, operations, and staff for the site.
• Maintain positive IFR statistics and other safety metrics for assigned location/operations.
• Ensure compliance with DSV Safety Programs Policies and Procedures and related site and client specific Standard Operation Procedures
• Establish HSE goals consistent with corporate polices and aligned with the corporate and site vision
• Implement effective systems to comply with all applicable HSE laws and regulations
• Communicate site HSE goals, action plans, and results to the organization
• Review and develop HSE policies and procedures annually in keeping with best practices
