Job summary

The role focuses on risk-based observations, training support, timely reporting and disciplined follow-through to build a workplace where hazards are raised early and safe work is integrated into daily operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in occupational safety in manufacturing.
• Strong communication and coaching skills.
• Ability to conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions.
• Familiarity with safety training and onboarding processes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct planned and responsive floor observations and inspections to identify hazards and SIF risks; engage employees and supervisors to implement improvements.
• Build relationships with operations leaders; support safety huddles, committees and hazard reporting; provide practical coaching.
• Respond to injuries and near-misses; assist with fact fatching, root cause analysis and learning reviews; track corrective actions.
• Deliver onboardings and shift-level training; maintain attendance and qualification records; raise competency gaps.
• Maintain safety records in approved systems; support regulatory logs and reporting; assist with audits and leading indicators.
