Job summary

Karsun Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Manager to lead a team responsible for reliability, scalability and performance of our systems and services. You will drive three pillars: Application Reliability, DevSecOps and Platform Lifecycle Management, with on-site work in the DMV area or at customer locations.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in SRE leadership on AWS, strong IaC and CI/CD experience, Datadog proficiency, and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in a similar site reliability leadership role managing a team of SREs on AWS.
• 5+ years supporting operations and maintenance for cloud-native applications in production that are fault-tolerant, self-healing, scalable, and highly available.
• Deep understanding of AWS and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong knowledge of IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, ArgoCD) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Datadog as primary logging/monitoring platform (alongside AWS CloudWatch).
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teams.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• AWS DevOps certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead an 8-20 person service delivery team (Service Support, DevSecOps, and SREs).
• Joint ownership of production reliability; define SLOs/KPIs; conduct post-mortems and root cause analyses.
• Define and implement best practices for infrastructure as code and deployment automation; drive vulnerability management.
• Oversee end-to-end platform lifecycle; collaborate to design scalable, fault-tolerant architectures; drive continuous improvement.
