Job summary

Karsun Solutions is seeking a Site Reliability Manager to lead an 8-20 person team focused on reliability, DevSecOps, and platform lifecycle management. The role requires on-site work in the DMV area with production systems in AWS and cloud-native applications that demand high availability.

You will standardize observability (Datadog), define SLOs/KPIs, oversee incident post-mortems, and drive continuous improvements across platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's preferred.
• 10+ years of experience managing a team of site reliability engineers and delivering in AWS.
• 5+ years of experience supporting cloud-native applications in production that are fault-tolerant, self-healing, scalable, and highly available.
• Deep understanding of AWS and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible, ArgoCD) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Datadog as the primary logging/monitoring/observability platform (and AWS CloudWatch).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• AWS DevOps Engineer certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead an 8-20 person service delivery team across Service Support, DevSecOps, and Site Reliability engineers.
• Own production reliability, standardize observability, define SLOs/KPIs, and review incident post-mortems.
