Site Reliability Engineer (System Administrator)

Position Overview

This position is for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (Sys. Admin) with a Top Secret clearance to support the FBI’s Information Management Division by applying information technology solutions to their business processes. The role involves managing a hybrid system across various environments, interfacing directly with the client, and working within a dispersed team.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting the FBI or DoD agencies, including developing, managing, and supporting software, databases, systems engineering, security, and IT customer support to meet system requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Manage complex, hybrid environments using tools like Ansible, AWS, SQL Server Management Studio, Putty, Brava, PGPool, PGAdmin, Postgres, Splunk, Terraform, JIRA Service Desk, Microsoft and Linux server administration, Kubernetes, Powershell, K2, Keycloak, Active Directory, Azure DevOps, F5, VMware.
  • Mitigate POAMs identified during security scans.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies focused on DevOps.
  • Create and deliver presentations, briefings, and demonstrations.
  • Negotiate and understand stakeholder needs and expectations.
  • Support efforts to meet customer and business objectives.
  • Identify process and system improvements.
  • Assess business processes and system inefficiencies.
Requirements
  • BA or BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred, with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience analyzing existing processes, requirements, and systems.
  • Agile certifications are a plus.
  • Top Secret clearance.
Skills and Abilities
  • Stay current with customer needs; communicate effectively via email, presentations, and meetings.
  • Increase customer satisfaction and adoption.
  • Analyze and synthesize business requirements, recognize patterns, and conceptualize processes.
Location and Travel

Primary onsite at FBI Central Records Complex, Winchester, Virginia.
