Job summary

TikTok USDS Joint Venture is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join our Seattle-based team. You will help design, deploy, and operate large-scale, fault-tolerant systems and drive automation across the stack.

You will work with Go, Python, Linux, and modern cloud architectures to improve reliability and performance. This role emphasizes on-call rotations, monitoring, and scalable infrastructure in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or similar role.
• Experience automating operational tasks through coding and engineering practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automation procedures to maximize system efficiency and minimize human intervention.
• Work closely with software engineering teams to design, deploy and operate platforms for robust functionality.
• Ensure system scalability to handle growth in web traffic and data.
• Implement monitoring tools and set up metrics to track system health and performance.
• Participate in on-call rotations, assist with incident management, and diagnose, resolve, and prevent production issues.
• Conduct performance tests to identify and address system bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with teams to define SLOs, SLIs, and SLAs.
• Practice blameless postmortems and sustainable user support.
