Job summary

Sporttrade is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to own the health of our regulated sports betting exchange. You will oversee cloud and on-prem infrastructure, automate toil, and collaborate with DevOps and Engineering to keep the exchange fast and compliant.

You will work in a production environment supporting 24/7 operations, with an emphasis on observability, incident response, and scalable infrastructure across Kubernetes, Terraform, and Jenkins pipelines.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in a Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, production engineering, or technical operations role.
Strong Linux fundamentals and scripting ability.
Experience supporting and debugging Java applications in production; reading stack traces and thread dumps.

Responsibilities

Own the daily operation of the exchange trading lifecycle, including startup/shutdown and settlement artifacts.
Participate in an on-call rotation for a live regulated marketplace and drive incidents to resolution.
Operate and improve observability stack (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana) and reduce time-to-detection for issues.
Run and maintain hybrid infrastructure: Kubernetes clusters (GKE/EKS), Istio, multi-cloud accounts, and on-prem data centers.
Automate infrastructure with Ansible, Terraform, and Jenkins pipelines; manage secrets in Vault.
