Job summary

KFC’s restaurant technology stack across AWS, Kubernetes, and edge systems seeks a Senior SRE to own reliability, architecture, automation, and security. You will oversee cloud infra, edge deployments, and incident management while shaping SLOs/SLIs and observability across the platform.

Responsibilities include designing cloud/Kubernetes environments, building IaC with Terraform, and leading incident responses.

Qualifications

• 6+ years IT infrastructure with 3+ years SRE/Cloud/Platform Engineering.
• Strong AWS experience: EKS, ECS, Fargate, EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS, S3.
• Terraform and GitLab CI/CD proficiency.
• Enterprise networking skills: switches, VLANs, troubleshooting.
• MDM and distributed/edge environments experience.
• Familiarity with SLOs/SLIs and error budgets.
• Preferred: observability tools, DevSecOps, serverless, security frameworks, cloud certifications.

Responsibilities

• Define SLOs, SLIs, error budgets and monitoring.
• Design/manage AWS cloud and Kubernetes/EKS environments, incl. edge deployments.
• Build Terraform IaC and GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate ops using Python/Bash/Go and internal tools.
• Support restaurant networking, MDM, mobile deployments and edge infra.
• Lead incident response, RCA and MTTR/MTTD improvements.
• Implement cloud security, IAM, networking, secrets and DevSecOps controls.
• Provide technical leadership, architecture docs and mentoring.

Summary

Senior SRE responsible for the reliability, architecture, automation, and security of KFC's restaurant technology across AWS/Azure, Kubernetes, edge systems, networking, CI/CD, and devices.

Responsibilities

• Define SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, monitoring, and observability.
• Design/manage AWS cloud and Kubernetes/EKS environments, including restaurant edge deployments.
• Build Terraform IaC and GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate operational processes using Python/Bash/Go and internal tools.
• Support restaurant networking, MDM, mobile deployments, and edge infrastructure.
• Lead incident response, RCA, and improvements to MTTD/MTTR.
• Implement cloud security, IAM, networking, secrets, and DevSecOps controls.
• Provide technical leadership, architecture, documentation, and mentoring.
