Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Site Quality Manager to lead QA/QC activities at the Salome, AZ solar project. This full-time on-site role directs the Site-Specific Quality Plan, manages inspection teams, and acts as the quality liaison with client representatives and subcontractors.

The ideal candidate will have strong PV and civil/structural construction experience, a proactive problem-solving mindset, and a track record of driving continuous improvement while ensuring NEC, IEC, and ASTM compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years in utility-scale solar quality management.
• Certifications such as ASQ Certified Auditor, ISO 9001, Six Sigma; OSHA 10 or 30 desirable.
• In-depth knowledge of utility-scale PV systems, civil construction, electrical and mechanical codes, and QA/QC methodologies.
• Experience with project management software (Procore, Primavera P6) and MS Office Suite.
• Strong analytical problem-solving, communication, and leadership; willingness to travel frequently and work on-site at remote locations.

Responsibilities

• Quality Management and Planning: develop and implement site processes per the Site-Specific Quality Plan (SSQP) and industry standards.
• Inspections and Audits: conduct regular inspections and internal audits across civil, mechanical, electrical installations and commissioning.
• Defect and Nonconformance Management: identify, report, and manage nonconformances; lead RCA and CAPA.
• Documentation and Reporting: maintain QA/QC records and generate quality metrics for leadership.
• Subcontractor Quality Management: audit subcontractor QA plans and ensure supplied materials meet specs.
• Continuous Improvement: facilitate lessons learned and feed improvements to engineering and procurement.
• Compliance: ensure activities comply with contractual requirements and codes/regulations.
