Job summary

Cherokee Federal is seeking an experienced Site Quality Manager to lead construction quality control at an assigned project site. This role serves as the primary site contact for quality matters and ensures compliance with the Construction Quality Control Plan on federal projects.

Responsibilities include implementing QC procedures, coordinating inspections and testing, managing nonconformances, and maintaining defensible quality records.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of relevant construction quality experience.
• CQM-C certification or ability to obtain within contract timeframe.
• Proficiency with MS Outlook, Word, and Excel to produce quality docs.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background and security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain the project-specific Construction Quality Control Plan.
• Serve as primary site quality contact with client reps and stakeholders.
• Define quality roles, lines of authority, inspection points, and documentation.
• Lead three-phase control process (preparatory, initial, follow-up) for each feature of work.
• Coordinate inspections, tests, mockups, sampling, and commissioning with field teams.
• Verify materials/equipment meet submittals and contract requirements.
• Observe construction to confirm workmanship and conformance before concealment.
• Identify nonconforming work, issue deficiency reports, and track corrective actions.
• Exercise stop-work authority when quality risks are present.
• Ensure subcontractors comply with QC plan and documentation standards.
