Flatiron Construction Corp. is seeking an experienced Field Engineer to be the technical expert on our Antioch, CA project.

You will guide field teams to ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes, and contract specs while maintaining schedule and budget. The role includes reviewing drawings and specifications, providing input for work plans, and coordinating with site crews and finance to manage costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 2+ years of construction engineering, scheduling or design experience.
• Knowledge of cost coding, cost savings, budgets and related financial implications.
• Scheduling processes and industry best practices proficiency.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily with project crews to review production schedule and ensure materials, equipment, and resources are available.
• Review shop drawings, design specs, material requirements, and project data for quality and contract compliance.
• Provide technical input for project work plans and scheduling; identify risks to budget or schedule.
• Evaluate production, schedule, and budget projections; document activities and report results.
• Coordinate cost coding with finance for time, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
