Job summary

TMS International is seeking a Site Manager for its Granite City, IL operation. You will oversee scrap yard operations, ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and alignment with company policies while delivering reliable service to customers.

You will manage site P&L, engage with customers and vendors, drive continuous improvement, and lead maintenance and safety programs. Five years of operations leadership in steel or related industries preferred; college degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Five years of operations management experience in the steel (mill and scrap operations), aggregate, construction or other related industries.
• College degree preferred
• Scrap yard experience preferred
• Experience leading a maintenance department and heavy equipment operations
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs and industrial safety programs
• Experience managing mobile equipment fleet maintenance and OSHA/HSE programs

Responsibilities

• Primary site lead, overseeing scrap yard operations and maintenance, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
• Site representative interfacing with customers, vendors, regulatory agencies and other third parties
• Financial management of site operations, including profit & loss responsibility and cost control
• Implementing and enforcing safety, environmental, personnel, equipment maintenance, and financial control policies across site operations
