Job summary

TMS International is seeking an Assistant Site Manager for our Mesa, AZ location to oversee daily operations, lead safety initiatives, and support continuous improvement across departments.

The role includes supervising staff, coordinating the Safety/ISO program, and ensuring maintenance and safety compliance. Strong MS Office skills and 3+ years of supervisory experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Construction Mgmt or related field; degree may be replaced by experience.
• At least 3 years of prior supervisory experience.
• Experience with processing plants in a rock quarry or slag processing plant is a plus.
• Knowledge of heavy equipment operations including loaders and excavators is helpful.
• Experience administering a formal safety and maintenance program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Site Manager to supervise the staff at the site including safety, maintenance and operations employees.

• Assists with purchasing, maintenance administration, financial forecasting and other administrative tasks.
• Ensures site compliance to Company maintenance and safety programs.
• Responsible for the site operation when the Site Manager is not available.

We are looking for an Assistant Site Manager at our Mesa, AZ location.

As an Assistant Site Manager, you will work closely with the Site Manager to oversee daily operations, lead safety initiatives, and support continuous improvement efforts. This role includes supervisory responsibilities, equipment and facility oversight, and collaboration across departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Site Manager to supervise the staff at the site including safety, maintenance and operations employees
• Assists in coordinating the Safety/ISO Program
• Assists with purchasing, maintenance administration, financial forecasting and other administrative tasks
• Ensures site compliance to Company maintenance and safety programs
• Responsible for the site operation when the Site Manager is not available

• Prior experience working with a maintenance department is desirable
