Job summary

Genuine Parts Company, operating under the NAPA brand, seeks an Inventory Manager to optimize stock, protect assets and lead a small team in a fast-paced automotive parts environment. You will manage inventory levels, coordinate with IBS vendors, and ensure service levels meet customer expectations.

The role requires strong leadership, reliability in performing daily reconciliations, and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• Leadership to manage two or more people and delegate to team members.
• Strong communication skills and detail orientation.
• Experience in automotive after-market industry or related field preferred.
• Ability to learn and follow company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide management assistance and develop high-performance staff.
• Manage inventory, protect assets, and ensure accurate stock control.
• Coordinate with customer and staff to maximize IBS program value.
• Source parts through approved IBS vendors and maintain non-NAPA vendor relationships.
• Ensure safety training and hazmat requirements are completed timely.
• Use bar codes, perform stock put-away, and reconcile daily/weekly/monthly records.
• Ensure compliance with all IBS policies and procedures.
