Job summary

Symbotic is seeking a General Manager to lead operations at a customer distribution center site. You will oversee day-to-day automation operations, drive performance, and own the site operating plan with a focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

The role requires 7+ years in management within an operations environment, a relevant degree, and the ability to travel as needed. You will mentor a high-performing team and partner with customers to deliver best-in-class results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, industrial automation, or business administration.
• Minimum 7 years of functional management and direct supervisory experience.
• Minimum 5 years of direct leadership within an operations environment.
• Experience in logistics, material management, inventory control, or manufacturing operations.
• Strong understanding of operational metrics and performance management.
• Proven ability to drive change and implement process improvements.
• Budget preparation and financial management experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day automation operations and production management at the customer site.
• Conduct performance assessments, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Own the site operating plan and customer financial commitments and lead the team in executing against them.
• Monitor and report on operational performance to customers and internal cross-functional teams.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by maintaining quality standards and resolving issues promptly.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the site operations team by fostering a collaborative environment that encourages growth and continuous improvement.
• Champion a culture of safety, quality, and operational discipline across the site.
• Ensure full compliance with safety regulations, LOTO protocols, and company policies.
• Support team development through coaching, training, and hands-on leadership.
