Job summary

National Laboratory of the Rockies (NLR) in Golden, CO seeks a Site Operations Director with a proven track record in large-scale facilities management and budget leadership. You will lead operations, engineering, and space planning, directing ~150 staff and subcontractors to ensure reliable infrastructure for research programs.

You will collaborate with DOE and CMEI offices, enforce policies, and drive strategic improvements while upholding the highest ethical standards.

Qualifications

• Prior management and budget administration experience.
• Program strategy, development and implementation experience.
• Degree in appropriate field.
• Extensive knowledge of renewable energy industry and applicable regulations.
• Proven ability to lead diverse teams and manage complex programs.
• DOE Q clearance eligibility and experience managing government-related projects.
• 15 years of related engineering and/or facilities management experience.
• Experience with project management and real property inventories.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and leadership for Site Operations.
• Manage site-wide budget and policy enforcement.
• Oversee facility operations, engineering, space planning and maintenance.
• Coordinate with DOE and CMEI/OECM for reporting and compliance.
• Lead a ~150-person organization and manage subcontractors.
• Develop schedules, risk plans and resource-loaded project plans.
• Foster a culture of safety, ethics and continuous improvement.
