Saulsbury Industries in Abernathy, TX is seeking a Site Materials Manager to oversee materials and equipment on the construction site. You will lead a team of warehouse expeditors, operators and clerks to ensure timely deliveries, accurate inventory, and efficient procurement.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will manage planning, procurement coordination, vendor relationships, logistics, quality control, and safety while optimizing costs and resource use.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; certifications advantageous.
• 5–8 years in materials management, logistics or related field; 2–3 years in leadership.
• Construction industry knowledge and understanding of site materials workflows.
• Proven leadership and people-management abilities.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills and experience with materials management software.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Background check clearance.

Responsabilités

• Develop materials planning strategies to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment.
• Oversee inventory management and accurate tracking of stock levels.
• Coordinate procurement and expediting of deliveries.
• Establish and manage vendor relationships and negotiate terms.
• Identify suppliers and assess capabilities to meet project needs.
• Review purchase requisitions for alignment with budget.
• Inspect incoming materials with QA/QC personnel.
• Coordinate logistics and transportation to the site.
• Implement quality control for materials and equipment.
• Oversee equipment management and maintenance scheduling.
• Maintain accurate documents of materials and transactions.
• Lead warehouse expeditors, operators and clerks; ensure safety.
• Optimize resource allocation within the team.
• Manage budgets and seek cost-saving opportunities.
• Ensure health and safety compliance in handling materials.
• Identify process improvements and share lessons learned.
• Coordinate with construction team to support schedules.
• Provide training and development opportunities for staff.
• Fulfill reasonable requests from supervisor.
