Job summary

Baker Construction is seeking a Materials Manager to plan, coordinate, and control all site material management for power generation projects. You’ll oversee receiving, storage, and issuance, and work with Project Management, Procurement, and Field Engineers to ensure material availability and timely execution.

The role requires at least 5 years in material management on industrial or heavy civil projects, with experience in deep foundations, underground piping/electrical work, and concrete

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of material management on industrial or heavy civil construction projects.
• Experience with civil construction scopes including: deep foundations, underground piping systems, underground electrical systems, concrete foundations, embedded materials and anchor systems.
• Strong understanding of construction material control processes and procedures.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and material tracking software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all incoming deliveries to the project site.
• Verify shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, bills of lading, and approved submittals.
• Maintain organized laydown yards, warehouses, and storage areas.
• Track inventory and perform routine inventory audits and cycle counts.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly material status reports for project leadership.
• Maintain receiving logs and supporting documentation.
