Job summary

Baker Construction is seeking a Materials Manager to plan, coordinate, and control site material management activities for power generation construction projects. You will support civil scopes including deep foundations, underground utilities, piping, and concrete foundations, ensuring proper receipt, inspection, storage, tracking, and documentation to enable safe, efficient project execution.

You will serve as the primary site lead for material control, collaborating with Project Management,

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of material management, warehouse, logistics, or inventory control on industrial or heavy civil construction projects.
Experience with civil construction scopes including deep foundations, underground piping and electrical, concrete foundations, embedded materials and anchors.

Responsibilities

Promote and enforce safety policies and ensure material handling complies with project safety requirements.
Coordinate and manage all incoming deliveries and verify against PO, packing slips and bills of lading.
Maintain receiving logs, storage areas, and project tracking systems with accurate inventory records.
Process material issue requests and ensure alignment with IFC drawings and installation requirements.
Prepare material status reports and track open POs, backorders, and shortages.
