About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead the on-site execution of large-scale warehouse racking, high-density storage, and automated storage installation projects across the U.S.
This is a highly field-focused leadership role for someone who understands what it takes to successfully run an installation site from mobilization through completion. You will coordinate subcontractors and installation crews, drive safety and quality, monitor schedule and progress, resolve field issues, and serve as a key link between the site and the broader project team.
The ideal candidate brings strong, hands-on experience with pallet or structural warehouse racking installations, combined with proven experience managing crews, subcontractors, and complex construction or installation sites.
This position requires approximately 90% travel to customer project sites across the United States.
A typical project rotation may involve approximately:
3 months working onsite at a project location, followed by approximately 1 month at home.
Candidates should be comfortable with extended periods away from home and with a highly travel-intensive project environment.
Per Diem is provided for qualifying project travel.
What You’ll Do
- Lead day-to-day activities across active construction and installation sites.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors, foremen, installation crews, and other site personnel.
- Oversee the assembly and installation of pallet racking, structural racking, high-density storage, and related material handling systems.
- Review blueprints, engineering drawings, bills of materials, and technical documentation with field teams.
- Monitor installation progress against project schedules, milestones, quality standards, and budget expectations.
- Ensure work is performed according to project specifications, installation requirements, and applicable quality standards.
- Lead site safety activities and ensure compliance with OSHA and project-specific safety requirements.
- Identify potential delays, risks, field constraints, and deviations before they impact project delivery.
- Troubleshoot installation and construction issues in coordination with Project Managers and Project Engineers.
- Manage onsite material and equipment receiving, inventory, staging, and documentation.
- Coordinate short-term and long-term site planning and provide accurate progress reporting.
- Track variations, claims, delays, and other project-impacting events.
- Support punch-list activities, project completion, commissioning coordination when applicable, and final turnover.
- Take ownership of site-level results and proactively drive issues to resolution.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for an experienced field leader who can step into complex installation environments and take ownership with minimal ramp-up.
Strong candidates will have:

- Direct experience with pallet racking, structural racking, warehouse racking installation, or similar storage systems.
- Hands-on understanding of rack installation and field execution.
- Experience managing installation crews and/or subcontractors.
- Strong knowledge of jobsite safety and OSHA requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, layouts, and technical documentation.
- Experience managing schedules, manpower, materials, quality, and field progress.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with subcontractors, customers, engineers, Project Managers, and other stakeholders.
- Strong ownership mentality and ability to operate independently in the field.
- Ability and willingness to travel approximately 90% of the time, including extended project rotations.
Experience with rack-supported structures, high-bay racking, AS/RS, warehouse automation, conveyors, or other material handling systems is a strong plus.
