Job summary

Hammerhead LLC. is seeking a project manager to own warehouse storage installations from award through closeout. You will coordinate drawings, permits, material deliveries, and install crews on pallet racking, mezzanine, and shelving projects across the country.

This remote role favors candidates in the Midwest or Ohio with proficiency in AutoCAD. You'll manage end-to-end projects, coordinate drawings and permits, lead schedules, control material deliveries, and serve as the main customer

Qualifications

• 3+ years managing installation, construction, or material handling projects.
• Experience with warehouse racking systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication with customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned projects end to end, from handoff by sales through final walkthrough and closeout.
• Coordinate layout drawings, engineering, and permit submittals with our design and permitting resources.
• Build and maintain project schedules, then hold vendors, freight, and install crews to them.
• Manage material procurement and delivery timing so crews aren't waiting on steel.
• Serve as the customer's main point of contact for status, scope changes, and site logistics.
• Visit job sites at key milestones to verify install quality, safety compliance, and progress against the drawings.
• Track project costs, write change orders, and flag margin risk early.
• Close out projects with as-built documentation, load capacity plaques, and inspection records.

What We're Looking For

• Proficient in AutoCAD
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, freight, and field crews on a schedule
• Strong written and verbal communication with customers and internal teams
• Comfortable working independently in a remote role with regular travel to job sites
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel roughly 25 to 40 percent of the time
