Job summary

Designed Conveyor Systems seeks a Site Manager to serve as on-location point-person, oversee project execution, safety, and coordination with project teams, subcontractors, and vendors. You will lead on-site installation of material handling equipment and distribution facilities at customer sites, ensuring milestones are met and risks are managed.

Candidates should have experience in site management for MHE projects, be proficient with Procore or Site Docs, and hold OSHA 30 training (or obtain

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Site Manager or similar role in Material Handling and Equipment Installation.
  • Familiar with construction concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Understanding travel obligations for DCS Site Manager.
  • Ability to lead others and plan milestones.
  • Represent DCS well to clients and partners.
  • OSHA 30 Hour training completed or to be obtained within 2 months.
  • Forklift, scissor lift, MEWP and boom lift certifications (or to be obtained within 2 months).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, AutoCAD viewer, and reading blueprints.
  • Familiarity with Procore, Site Docs or other construction management software for projects and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Participate as a member of a project team to manage installation of MHE and D&F within customer sites.
  • Manage on-site installation of small to highly complex MHE and D&F projects.
  • Communicate daily with PM, Engineers, Procurement, Sub-Contractors, General Contractors, Vendors and Suppliers.
  • Prepare daily site reports used as risk management tools.
  • Oversee inventory receipts and report issues for direction.
  • Conduct safety audits and toolbox talks, maintain training certifications.
  • Use Procore for documents, reporting, RFIs and punch-lists.
  • Travel up to 90% during installation and start-ups.

About the Role:

As aSite Managerat DCS, you willbe our on-locationpoint-person,managingour projectexecution.You will collaborate with yourproject team, raise awareness of on-site challenges and be a part of the resolution. We will count on you tooverseeour contractors andvendors, partners, installers, risk management, and above all keepingeverybody safe.We will appreciate youron-site leadership, your communication on daily reports,your impressive teamwork skills,ability to manage project milestones, all the while upholding our Five DCS core values; Be Bold, Be Reliable, Be a Problem Solver, Be Learning Oriented, and Be Easy to Work With.

In this role, you will:
  • Participate as a member of a project team comprised ofProject Managers, Buyers,Engineers & others to successfully manage the installation of Material Handling Equipment (MHE), as well as Distribution & Fulfillment (D&F) within customer sites.
  • Manageon-site installation of small to highly complex MHE and D&F projects.
  • Communicatewith project teams daily, which include but not limited to PM, Engineers, Procurement, Sub-Contractors, General Contractors, Vendors and Suppliers.
  • Complete project look ahead with Sub-Contractors to forecast project work and milestones.
  • Oversee/Manage receiptof inventory and report issues through project team for direction.
  • Document, compile and prepare a daily site report that is used as a risk management tool.
  • Utilize Site Docs to perform workplace safety audits, AM/PM safety walks, toolbox talks, contractor orientation, near-miss or workplace incident reports, upkeep of your DCS provided safety training certifications annually or as required.
  • Utilize Procore for all project related documents, reporting, RFI’s and punch-listing.
  • Travel up to 90% during project installation and start-ups.

  • You are familiar with Procore, Site Docs or other Construction Management software for all projects and safety related requirements.
