Job summary

Fawkes and Reece in Lancaster is seeking an experienced Site Manager for a new-build housing project. You will lead day-to-day site activities, coordinate subcontractors, maintain programme and quality standards, and ensure safe, efficient delivery aligned with project requirements.

A timber-frame background and a proven record delivering high-specification homes are highly valued, along with strong communication, proactive problem solving, and rigorous health & safety adherence.

Qualifications

• SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid certifications required.
• Recent references on a new-build housing project, ideally timber frame.
• Experience delivering high-specification timber-frame homes.
• Experience managing site subcontractors and trades.

Responsibilities

SITE MANAGER | LANCASTER | NEW-BUILD HOUSING

We're currently looking for an experienced Site Manager to join a new-build housing project in the Lancaster area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Site Manager with a strong background in residential construction, particularly someone with timber-frame experience and a proven track record of delivering high-specification homes to a high standard.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the site, coordinating subcontractors and trades, maintaining programme and quality standards, and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with project requirements.

Proven experience as a Site Manager within new-build housing

Strong knowledge of residential construction

Previous timber-frame experience is highly desirable

Experience working on high-specification developments

Excellent attention to detail and quality

Strong communication and subcontractor management skills

A proactive approach to site management and problem solving

Commitment to maintaining high standards of health & safety
