Job summary

NewCold is seeking a Site General Manager to lead a highly automated cold-storage facility and optimize warehouse operations in a fast-growing network. You will oversee a multi-disciplinary team, drive KPIs, and ensure safety, quality, and budget adherence in a state-of-the-art operation.

Your leadership will strengthen the company’s culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and reliable service for major food industry clients. This role offers a significant impact on efficiency and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 10+ years of warehouse operations management experience (preferably automated warehousing or food industry expertise).
• Strong P&L, finance, operations, team management, site planning and stock control experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage the local warehouse team and provide a level of service satisfying customer requirements, at a level of cost agreed in the budget.
• Oversee a supervisory team that leads daily site activities, driving results that exceed key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Adopt the NewCold culture and uphold company values, ensuring that a positive attitude to Health & Safety is embedded within the team on-site.
• Direct the operational team in alignment with company policy, ensuring that agreed standards are understood and met.
• Complete local KPI templates and share information internally, engaging the local team to search for improvement opportunities.
• Monitor and control all expenditure with a focus on payroll costs, reacting quickly to adverse variances.
• Structure communication on-site to include daily team briefs and shift handovers.
• Communicate with relevant parties any process deviations, quality issues, and service deficiencies, or risk of failure in these areas.
• Complete agreed internal reporting and communication as required by the Management Team.
