Job summary

Nox Group in the United States is seeking a Survey Technician to perform field survey, layout and data collection using Trimble RTS and GPS, supporting construction operations.

Under the Survey Superintendent, you will ensure layouts for equipment pads, trenching, conduit and structural supports are accurate and aligned with design intent, while maintaining safety standards.

Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience and be able to travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of survey/layout experience preferred.
  • Proficient with Trimble RTS and GPS systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and BIM/CAD layouts.
  • Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily field layout using Trimble RTS and GPS under the Survey Superintendent.
  • Set up and localize survey equipment to project control points and verify calibration.
  • Execute layout tasks for equipment pads, trenching, conduits, racks, and other structural elements.
  • Collect and record as-built data for installed components.
  • Coordinate with BIM/CAD models and the VDC team to ensure alignment.
  • Provide support transferring layout data between Trimble equipment and design models.
  • Maintain cleanliness and calibration of all survey equipment and accessories.
  • Follow safety procedures in active construction zones.
