Job summary

Site Work Specialists is seeking a motivated laborer to assist with site development, excavation, grading and utilities in the Rapid City area. The role offers hourly pay with overtime eligibility and weekly direct deposit, plus a robust benefits package and opportunities for apprenticeship and development.

You will work closely with a skilled team on challenging projects, retrieve materials, assist with surveys and grading, and operate equipment as trained, while maintaining safety and PPE

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening.
• Must have personal transportation to and from job sites, including out-of-town work.
• Must arrive on time to job site fit for duty for required shift and have PPE and necessary tools with you.
• Attend all safety meetings and maintain safe job site practices following company policy.
• Wear and maintain PPE as directed by supervisor and safety team, including hard hats, safety glasses, and high visibility vests.
• Willingness to learn and master new tasks, duties, and responsibilities.
• Pay attention to job details to provide an acceptable uniform product.
• Identify and communicate any job site hazards.
• Safely and correctly operate all equipment and manual/power tools.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve materials.
• Survey staking and assist with site grading.
• Manually shovel materials including gravel and dirt.
• Maintain clean work area and job site.
• Assist Superintendent, Foreman, and Operators as needed.
• Operate a Bobcat.
• Take direction and accomplish duties outlined by your supervisor and ask questions when you do not understand the task.
• Be dependable to your team: You work as a team and progress as a team.
• Assist with all tasks; even it is below your skill level.
