Job summary

Croda is seeking a Site IT Engineer to provide specialist IT/OT support across assigned sites, resolving complex infrastructure and end-user issues, and delivering regional technology projects. The role involves working with Windows, cloud services, network infrastructure, and cybersecurity in a multinational, fast-paced environment.

You will support endpoints, servers, and networks, collaborate with OT teams, and lead projects from planning through execution while traveling as required.

Qualifications

• Experience providing technical IT support for endpoints, on-premises and cloud servers, and networks.
• Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, Active Directory administration, virtual machines, server OS health monitoring, and on-premises-to-cloud migration.
• Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, SharePoint, Ivanti, and Veeam.
• Experience with firewall installation and troubleshooting, fiber mapping, and third-party remote access administration.
• Understanding cybersecurity principles and best practices.
• Knowledge of industrial IT/OT environments and ISA-95; ability to partner with OT teams.
• Microsoft Fundamentals certification and ITIL v4 Foundation certification.
• Strong communication and customer service; support for users from operators to executives.
• Ability to work independently and across cultures; manage multiple priorities and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide first- and second-line technical expertise to site users and IT Administrators across the region.
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues with PCs, servers, networks, and collaboration tools per IT policies.
• Keep stakeholders informed about incidents, issues, and project activity.
• Perform root cause analysis and share knowledge to prevent repeat issues.
• Provide IT/OT administration support including system upgrades and upgrades alignment.
• Support regional systems used for payroll, databases, safety, ISO, and audits.
• Identify improvements and lead regional/site projects from planning to execution.
• Represent sites in meetings; report findings and manage end-to-end implementation.
• Escort vendors and provide site support when needed.

This role supports local IT and OT environments, resolves complex infrastructure and end-user issues, and delivers site and regional technology projects while maintaining a high level of user service and satisfaction.

WhoWe’reLooking For:

• Experience providing technical IT support for endpoints, on-premises and cloud servers, and networks.

• Effective communication and customer service skills, with the ability to support users ranging from factory operators to directors and executives.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural, global environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities across varied network environments, support vendors on site, travel as required, and work outside standard hours when necessary.

WhatYou’llBe Doing:

• Provide first-­and second-line technical expertise to site users and support IT Administrators and contractors across the assigned region.
• Diagnose and resolve complex issues involving PCs, laptops, servers, Microsoft Office, collaboration tools, security, networks, and related local IT systems in line with Group IT policies and standards.
• Keep stakeholders informed about the status, expectations, and outcomes of incidents, significant issues, improvements, and project activity.
• Perform root cause analysis, document solutions, share knowledge with IT Administrators and global colleagues, and help prevent repeat issues and rework.
• Provide IT/OT administration support, including new projects, troubleshooting, system upgrades, and alignment with current technology standards.
• Support networks and regional systems used for process automation, payroll, time and attendance, local databases, safety incident registration, audits, ISO requirements, holiday registration, and complaints management.
• Identify and implement improvements to site IT systems and processes, contributing practical and innovative solutions for site management.
• Lead regional and site projects from planning through technical execution. Projects may include cloud servers and applications, phone systems, network upgrades, factory system upgrades, annual computing refreshes, and small local workflows or applications.
• Represent multiple sites and offices in meetings and calls, report findings, recommend solutions, and manage implementation from end to end.
• Make routine technical decisions within a complex IT network and influence users when IT policies and standards are not being followed.
• Escort vendors and provide technical and site support as needed.
• Support an area of operation serving up to two hundred users while maintaining a responsive, customer-friendly approach.
