Job summary

Valeo is seeking a Site Health, Safety and Environment Technician to ensure compliance with regulatory and Valeo Group requirements while driving continuous improvement in HSE performance. The role covers risk assessment, procedure implementation, and audits across Auburn Hills and Troy locations.

You will work with cross-functional teams to maintain safety standards, train staff, and respond to incidents. Automotive manufacturing experience and a relevant degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of safety experience
• Knowledge of OSHA injury reporting
• OSHA 30 or 40 hour industry training
• Automotive manufacturing experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Health, Safety and Environmental majors, or related field

Responsibilities

• Ensure the site complies with legal and Valeo Group HSE requirements and the management system.
• Perform risk assessments across HSE fields and update mitigation plans.
• Establish, implement and monitor Health, Safety, Security and Environment procedures.
• Conduct inspections and internal audits, and drive corrective actions.
• Communicate HSE issues internally and with external authorities and stakeholders.
