Job summary

Syngenta Seeds is seeking an experienced HSE&S Advisor to serve as the primary liaison for the site leadership team. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and Syngenta policies, and lead the development and improvement of the site’s HSE programs.

You will spend significant time on the plant floor (about 40%) and partner with cross-functional teams to drive risk reduction, training, audits, and incident investigations, supporting a safe and compliant operating

Qualifications

• Four-year degree required; HSE experience a plus.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT regulations.
• Ability to interpret legislation for agri-business.
• Ability to conduct site HSE audits and risk analyses.
• Minimum three years HSE auditing/management experience.
• Apply OSHA/EPA regulations to Syngenta systems/organization.
• Identify risks and safety issues on-site and in design reviews.

Responsibilities

• Ensure site compliance with regulations and Syngenta policies.
• Develop, implement, maintain, and improve the HSE program.
• Coordinate risk assessments for projects affecting HSE.
• Primary contact between NA HSE&S and Site(s).
• Lead site inspections and close action plans.
• Facilitate Letter of Assurance and Operational Safety Profile.
• Provide HSE training for employees and contractors.
• Maintain site information/databases and SAP entries.
• Participate in incident investigations and share learnings.
• Support cross-functional teams and network initiatives.
• Assist manager with budgets and reviews.
• Maintain onsite presence with ~40% on the plant floor.
