Job summary

Syngenta Seeds Field Crops seeks a dedicated HSE& S advisor to partner with site leadership, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and Syngenta standards. You will own, develop, and continuously improve the site's HSE programs and related systems.

Position requires knowledge of OSHA/EPA regulations, strong audit and risk-analysis skills, and at least three years in HSE auditing/management. Expect significant on-site activity with cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree required; HSE job experience considered a plus.
• Knowledge of HSE&S regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT).
• Ability to interpret legislation as it applies to agri-business.
• Ability to organize and conduct a site HSE audit and risk analysis.
• Minimum three years of HSE auditing/management experience.
• Apply HSE experience and OSHA/EPA regulations to Syngenta systems/organization.
• Identify risks and safety issues across the site and during design reviews.

Responsibilities

• Ensure site compliance with federal, state and local HSE&S regulations and Syngenta policies and standards, including security.
• Own the development, implementation, maintenance and improvement of a comprehensive HSE program and related management systems for site(s).
• Coordinate and risk assess projects impacting HSE (e.g., management of change, new construction, etc.).
• Serve as primary point of contact between NA HSE&S Corporate or Regulatory Entity and Site(s).
• Lead inspections and ensure closure of action plans.
• Provide HSE&S guidance and training for all employees and contractors; conduct toolbox talks and safety meetings.
