The HR Manager leads the full HR function for our Twinsburg R&D site of approximately 150 employees, primarily engineers and support functions, with a small production population. This highly visible role combines full-scope HR management, team leadership, compliance, strategic initiatives, and HR projects. The HR Manager is a key member of the Site Leadership Team and manages one HR Generalist, with functional management of a site administration assistant.
This position is onsite 5 days per week.
1. HR Operations & Team Management
- Lead the HR team and day-to-day HR activities across the site.
- Manage the full employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, internships, payroll, compensation & benefits, employee relations, disciplinary matters, and offboarding.
- Lead performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, career development, training, and employee engagement.
- Coach managers on employee relations, performance, organizational, and people matters.
- Ensure accurate HR administration, reporting, employee data, and documentation.
2. Legal & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations.
- Ensure application of Safran HR policies, standards, procedures, and internal controls.
- Support FAA, AFNOR/AS9100, Safran internal audits, and other applicable compliance requirements.
- Manage applicable immigration processes and requirements.
- Monitor regulatory changes, assess their impact, and implement necessary actions.
- Support Safran's Health, Safety and Environmental standards and culture.
3. HR Projects & Transformation
- Lead and contribute to local, regional, and Group HR projects.
- Implement new HR systems, tools, technologies, and processes.
- Support initiatives such as new grading systems, compensation programs, organizational changes, digitalization, and engagement programs.
- Lead change management and communication related to HR initiatives.
4. Stakeholder Partnership
- Build strong relationships with the Site Leadership Team, managers, employees, HR team, and broader Safran organization.
- Act as a trusted HR advisor to leadership and managers.
- Maintain a visible and approachable HR presence across the site.
- Understand business needs and translate them into effective HR solutions.
5. HR Strategy & Continuous Improvement
- Develop and continuously improve the site's HR strategy in alignment with business priorities.
- Strengthen talent acquisition, retention, compensation & benefits, talent development, succession, and workforce planning strategies.
- Use HR data and KPIs to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Simplify and improve HR processes, employee experience, and manager effectiveness.
- Anticipate future workforce and organizational needs and develop appropriate solutions.
Additional requirements: 5–15% domestic/international travel and occasional evening/night support based on business needs.
- Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field and a minimum of 3 years of progressive Human Resources experience and/or training, or
- 3 years of management experience
