Job summary

Premier Warehousing Services is seeking an Operations Manager for our building materials plant in Shippingport, PA. You’ll oversee jockey-spotter drivers and warehouse crews, moving trailers on site and to a drop yard, while maintaining safety and efficiency.

You will interview, hire, train, and lead associates, conduct safety meetings, ensure policy compliance, and meet key metrics. Trucking background is preferred, with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

Qualifications

• Flexible schedule with start and end times; some weekends may be required.
• Ability to train, coach, and lead employees positively.
• Strong organization and prioritization skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to make sound decisions, solve problems, and direct staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily management of jockey/spotter drivers and warehouse crew.
• Operate and back up trailers in tight spaces; move trailers to off-site yard and loading bays.
• Maintain trucks with local vendors; ensure plant safety and efficiency.
• Interview, hire and train new associates; conduct safety meetings and ensure compliance.
• Ensure company policies are followed and customer needs are met.
• Supervise data entry accuracy and meet company metrics.
