Job summary

Samsung BioLogics Rockville is seeking a Facilities Manager to supervise site-wide maintenance of utility systems, equipment, and facilities. You will lead a maintenance staff, coordinate contractors, and align activities with Manufacturing, Engineering, EHS, Validation, Materials Management, and Quality Systems.

The role requires 1–3 years of related manufacturing experience in pharma/biotech, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and capacity to work in mechanical spaces.

• 1-3 year of directly related manufacturing experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to climb ladders, work in mechanical spaces, and perform physical maintenance activities

Responsibilities

• Supervise Facilities related activities for Samsung’s pre-clinical, clinical and commercial cGMP activities.
• Assume site-wide Facilities Maintenance responsibilities. Structure organization to perform functions required to maintain and repair facilities systems and equipment in a cost-effective manner.
• Actively recruit obtain and structure a Facilities Maintenance staff that is second to none.
• Prepare and implement recommendations for making the Facilities Maintenance SOP’s and other related documentation uniform and consistent.
• Implement and maintain a state-of-the-art computerized maintenance management system to schedule, track and document all preventative maintenance and repair activities site wide.
• Exhibit an ability to work with other Operations groups to create and implement policies and to provide resources to support process activities and production schedules.
• Ensure all Environmental, Health, & Safety adverse event investigations are started within 24 hours
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility utility systems, including HVAC, compressed air, water systems, pumps, valves, and associated equipment.
• Coordinate and oversee contractors performing maintenance and repair services.
• Follow all Environmental, Health & Safety, GMP, and company procedures.
