Job summary

Samsung Biologics in Rockville, MD is seeking a Site IT Infrastructure Specialist to manage local servers and network systems at our overseas site. You will be the IT infrastructure contact, handling operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of on‑site servers, network equipment, and related infrastructure in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
• Experience with Windows/Linux server administration, virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V), and network protocols.
• Knowledge of firewall management, VPN, and enterprise security best practices.
• Experience in a regulated environment (e.g., GxP, FDA, ISO) is a strong plus.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with global teams.

Responsibilities

• Management, monitoring, and maintenance of local server systems (physical and virtual)
• Configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization of network equipment (APs, switches, routers, firewalls, etc.)
• Response to user inquiries related to infrastructure and system availability
• Coordination with global HQ on infrastructure projects, policies, and standards
• Support for system backups, disaster recovery planning, and security patch management
• Management of infrastructure solution vendors and service providers
• Preparation, review, and execution of validation and compliance documentation for infrastructure changes
• Analysis of user requirements to support infrastructure improvements and process optimization
