GE Aerospace is seeking a Site Facilities, Infrastructure & EHS Leader – Strother to own reliability, capacity and safety of the site’s facilities and infrastructure. Job Description Summary

The Site Facilities, Infrastructure & EHS Leader – Strother is the senior leader responsible for the reliability, capacity, compliance, and long-term performance of the site’s facilities and infrastructure. This role leads Facilities/Infrastructure, Maintenance, Utilities, Security, and Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) under one leadership structure to ensure the site operates safely, efficiently, and in support of current production needs and future growth objectives.

Job Description

The Site Facilities, Infrastructure & EHS Leader – Strother is the senior leader responsible for the reliability, capacity, compliance, and long-term performance of the site’s facilities and infrastructure. This role leads the site’s Facilities/Infrastructure, Maintenance, Utilities, Security, and Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) functions to ensure the plant operates safely, efficiently, and in support of current production needs and future growth. This leader is responsible for the site’s physical plant strategy, including building systems, utilities, maintenance programs, and infrastructure investments that enable operational continuity, risk reduction, and expansion. The role is focused on facility reliability, capital project execution, infrastructure planning, and safety/compliance leadership across the site. The leader owns the majority of the Strother capital budget and is responsible for developing and executing multi-year plans for infrastructure upgrades, facility modernization, capacity expansion, and major equipment installations. This individual will lead site EHS, Maintenance, and Security teams; partner closely with operations and engineering leaders; and represent the site with regulators, auditors, corporate functions, contractors, utility providers, and external partners. As a key member of the site leadership team, this individual will use data, structured problem-solving, and strong operating discipline to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost, while ensuring the site remains safe, reliable, secure, and prepared for future demand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the site’s facilities, infrastructure, maintenance, utilities, security, and EHS functions
  • Own the reliability, capacity, and long-term performance of the site’s physical plant and core infrastructure
  • Develop and execute multi-year capital plans to improve reliability, reduce risk, and support growth
  • Lead large, complex capital and facilities projects, including building modifications, utility upgrades, equipment installations, and modernization efforts
  • Oversee site utilities and building systems, including areas such as electrical distribution, HVAC, compressed air, water/wastewater, and fire protection
  • Lead maintenance and asset care strategies that improve uptime, reliability, and operational continuity
  • Ensure compliance with applicable environmental, health, safety, security, and facility-related regulations
  • Partner with operations and engineering to align infrastructure capability with production and business needs
  • Manage capital and operating budgets with strong financial discipline
  • Lead contractors and external service providers to ensure safe and effective execution of work
  • Build a strong culture of safety, accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in engineering, facilities management, industrial technology, construction management, environmental health and safety, or a related technical field OR High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 9 years of experience in facilities, infrastructure, maintenance, plant engineering, EHS, or site operations leadership in a manufacturing, industrial, or military environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Significant experience in facilities, infrastructure, maintenance, plant engineering, or technical operations leadership within a manufacturing, industrial, military, or other highly regulated environment
  • People leadership experience leading technical, craft, or multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience leading capital projects and infrastructure investments that improve reliability, reduce risk, and support growth
  • Experience with site utilities, building systems, and facility infrastructure
  • Experience leading maintenance and reliability programs
  • Working knowledge of EHS and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Experience integrating Facilities/Infrastructure, Maintenance, EHS, and Security under a common strategy
  • Strong financial, communication, and problem-solving skills, including use of data and continuous improvement tools
