Job summary

BioSpace is seeking an Environmental Compliance Engineer in Houston to develop and implement site environmental programs and permitting during construction and startup of an API manufacturing facility.

The role will transition to an ongoing operations-focused position, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local environmental laws including RCRA and TPDES, with emphasis on documentation, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental, chemical, or civil engineering.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience.
• PE or EIT certification preferred.
• Experience in pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement site environmental programs and permits during construction and startup.
• Transition into an operational role focusing on compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations including RCRA and TPDES.
