Job summary

LAMP in Texas is seeking a dedicated environmental compliance professional to own permits, emissions, discharge and waste programs at our facility.

You will manage permit conditions, build an emissions inventory, prepare reports, and train site personnel, ensuring compliance with TCEQ as well as federal regs.

This role protects commissioning timelines and supports regulatory submittals through proactive planning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering or a related field.
  • Five or more years of environmental compliance at an industrial facility in Texas.
  • Direct working experience with TCEQ permitting and reporting.
  • Knowledge of RCRA, Clean Air Act and Clean Water Act obligations as they apply to chemical manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Own all environmental permits and authorizations, including air authorizations, wastewater discharge, stormwater and waste registrations, and track every condition and deadline.
  • Build the emissions inventory and monitoring plan covering point sources, fugitive emissions, volatile organic compounds and any thermal oxidizer or scrubber controls.
  • Prepare and submit compliance reports to state and federal agencies and maintain the compliance calendar.
  • Set up the stormwater pollution prevention plan and spill prevention control and countermeasure plan for the construction and operating phases.
  • Establish waste characterization, manifesting, storage and disposal procedures, including solvent and spent catalyst streams.
  • Support the government and regulatory submittal package with environmental content.
  • Train site personnel on environmental requirements and lead agency inspections.

Position Purpose

Owns permits, emissions, discharge and waste compliance. Permit conditions are schedule constraints on startup, so this role protects the commissioning date as much as it protects the environment.
