Job Summary

The Site Engagement & Insights Associate Director helps lead WCG’s CenterWatch site survey research program – including the Global Site Relationship Survey, the companion Sponsor Company Survey, and the CenterWatch Forum of participating sponsor and CRO companies – and serves as a champion for the site perspective across the business. This role owns the full survey lifecycle – instrument design and development, distribution and fielding across WCG’s global network of research sites, analysis and interpretation of results, and delivery of client readouts – and connects survey insights to other WCG business units to strengthen site engagement, inform product and service development, and deepen sponsor, CRO, and site relationships.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Works with leadership to manage end-to-end execution of the WCG CenterWatch Global Site Relationship Survey program, including the biennial Global Site Survey and the companion Sponsor Company Survey, from design kickoff through survey launch, data collection, report finalization, and readout meetings.

  • Supports the CenterWatch Forum of participating sponsor and CRO representatives – facilitates design kickoff and review discussions, prepares meeting materials and draft question sets, and manages the collaborative feedback process from initial draft through site collaboration, validation, and final release to companies.

  • Designs and develops survey instruments in collaboration with the Benchmarking & Analytics team, including sponsor/CRO attribute frameworks, site characteristic taxonomies, and importance factors; applies attribute optimization and redundancy analyses to reduce respondent burden while preserving insight.

  • Plans and manages survey distribution and fielding, including sampling strategy, multi-language deployment, survey links and email templates for participating companies, site outreach and communications, response monitoring, and initiatives to grow and diversify the global respondent panel.

  • Partners with analysts to analyze survey results, interpret findings, and translate data into actionable insights and compelling narratives.

  • Develops benchmark reports, publications, and custom client deliverables based on survey findings, including region-, country-, and role-specific analyses and custom data cuts.

  • Coordinates and leads client readout meetings and presentations, delivering findings and recommendations to sponsor, CRO, and site audiences up to the executive level.

  • Serves as a voice of the site within WCG – builds and maintains trusted relationships with investigators, research coordinators, and site leadership; partners with sites to test survey flow, logic, and feasibility and ensures the site perspective inform WCG products and services.

  • Connects survey findings and site insights to other WCG business units; identifies and pursues cross-business opportunities to act on what sites are telling us.

  • Partners with marketing and commercial teams to promote survey participation and support commercialization of benchmark reports and related offerings.

  • Monitors industry trends in site engagement, site burden, and clinical trial operations to keep the survey program current and differentiated.

  • Maintains standards for data quality, respondent confidentiality, and research ethics across the program.

  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor. These may, on occasion, be unrelated to the position described here.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
  • 8+ years of experience in clinical research, with significant time in clinical operations, site engagement, site management, or related sponsor, CRO, or site-facing roles.

  • Demonstrated success building and managing site engagement programs and long‑term relationships with investigators, study coordinators, and site leadership.

  • Experience designing, fielding, and analyzing surveys or voice‑of‑customer research programs strongly preferred.

  • Deep understanding of clinical trial operations and the challenges facing research sites, including staffing, workload, technology burden, and study start‑up.

  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, with experience delivering findings and recommendations to executive audiences.

  • Comfortable working with quantitative and qualitative data; able to partner with analysts and translate results for non-technical audiences.

  • Strong writing skills for reports, publications, and client communications.

  • Established industry network and external visibility (e.g., conference speaking, industry working groups) a plus.
