Job summary
Caterpillar's IDES division in Mossville, IL seeks a Design Engineer – Electrification Site Applications & Integration. You will develop, integrate, validate, and deploy customer-focused electrification solutions for commercial, industrial, and energy applications, translating requirements into deployable system solutions with energy storage, charging, and controls.

Qualifications
- Experience with BESS, microgrids, EV charging systems, renewable integration.
- Understanding of utility interconnection and power distribution principles.
- Experience with multi-discipline engineering projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop site electrification solutions including BESS, charging infrastructure, hybrid energy systems, and microgrids.
- Translate customer and site requirements into technical specifications and system architectures.
- Lead integration activities across electrical, controls, software, communications, and monitoring systems.
- Support system validation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and field teams to deliver site solutions.
