The role requires MATLAB/Simulink, embedded C, and Python experience, plus a background in electrical engineering and familiarity with MIL/SIL/PIL/HIL verification; you will collaborate across controls, software, electrical, and validation teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience developing or validating control software for energy storage, charging, microgrid, site energy management, or related tech.
• Hands-on MATLAB/Simulink, model-based controls development, embedded C, and/or Python.
• Familiarity with MIL, SIL, PIL, or HIL verification and data analysis.
• Experience with CAN, embedded controllers, Git/version control, and agile product development.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate and validate control algorithms for charging products, BESS, and site energy management controllers.
• Translate requirements into control strategies, specs, models, and testable deliverables.
• Create, simulate, analyze, and implement control models using MATLAB/Simulink, embedded C, and Python; include automation and data analysis.
• Plan and execute controls verification/validation at multiple levels.
• Analyze results, troubleshoot, identify root causes, and suggest corrective actions.
• Support integration of controllers with batteries, power electronics, chargers, generators, inverters, sensors, and networks.
• Collaborate across controls, embedded software, electrical, systems, product, and validation teams; document decisions and results.
