Job summary

Genesis Staffing is seeking an experienced Site Electrical Engineer for an on-site role in Bowling Green, OH. You will design power distribution, lighting and grounding systems and coordinate construction, operation and maintenance of electrical facilities on industrial projects.

Qualifications

• Experience with design/installation of medium and low-voltage distribution equipment.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, ANSI, NEMA and NFPA codes and standards.
• Able to handle onsite plant projects with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Design power system facilities and equipment and coordinate construction, operation and maintenance of electrical systems.
• Develop conceptual layouts and sketches to drive efficient designs.
• Plan, schedule, conduct and coordinate detailed electrical engineering phases.
• Develop equipment specifications.
• Develop construction specifications and contractor scope documents.
• Direct or prepare drawings and materials to be used in construction and installation.
• Inspect completed installations for conformance with specs and safety standards.
• Produce one-line diagrams, wiring drawings, panel layouts, motor schematics, instrument loops, conduit and tray routing.
• Work with grounding requirements (high resistance, isolated grounding).
• Provide on-site startup support.

Site Electrical Engineer - On Site Bowling Green, OH

6-8 Month Contract, per diem included

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

This person will bring extensive experience to work on industrial projects including design of power distribution, lighting and grounding systems.

• Design power system facilities and equipment and coordinate construction, operation, and maintenance of electric power generating, receiving, and distribution stations, and distribution systems and equipment
• Develop conceptual layouts and sketches to drive the most efficient design on a project‑by‑project basis
• Participate in the planning, scheduling, conducting and coordinating detailed phases of electrical engineering projects
• Develop equipment specifications
• Develop construction specifications and contractor scope of work documents
• Directs preparation of or prepares drawings and specific type of equipment and materials to be used, in construction and equipment installation
• Inspects completed installations for conformance with design and equipment specifications and safety standards
• Work products will include: one‑line diagrams, wiring drawings, panel layout drawings, motor schematics, instrument loop sheets, conduit and tray routing drawings and contractor scope documents
• Work with systems and equipment grounding requirements (high resistance, building and isolated grounding)
• Provide on‑site start up support

• Strong knowledge of applicable codes and standards (NEC, ANSI, NEMA, NFPA)
• Able to handle onsite plant projects with minimal supervision
• Well organized with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and operate within budgets and work directly with client engineers and maintenance teams.
• Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit.
• Capability with CAD systems including AutoCAD
• PE license or EIT certificate with ability to obtain PE license is preferred but not required.
