Job summary

The State Group in Bowling Green, OH, is seeking a Site Electrical Engineer for a 12-month project to design power distribution systems, supervise installation, and ensure safety compliance on site.

This role focuses on field-oriented work, hands-on commissioning, and ongoing field support, emphasizing quality, teamwork, and reliable electrical infrastructure for critical operations.

Qualifications

• 10 years of experience with electrical power distribution systems.
• Experience with testing commissioning and startup of electrical equipment.
• Understanding of safety codes and industry standards.
• A bachelors degree in engineering or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve electrical problems.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in field and on site environments.
• Excellent problem solving and critical thinking abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using Bluebeam CAD or other engineering software.

Responsibilities

• Design power distribution systems.

• Perform pre commissioning activities and functional checks.
• Conduct loop checks and equipment energization.
• Commission and start up switchgear transformers and generators.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical issues during installation and startup.
• Coordinate with electrical installation teams to verify quality of work.
• Track and resolve punch list items.
• Provide field support throughout project execution.
