Job summary

The Marzetti Company in Altoona, Iowa is hiring an EHS&S Sr. Specialist to oversee all Environment, Health, Safety, and Physical Security programming at a facility level. This role requires the candidate to implement EHS&S management systems, ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, and engage with plant personnel for safety and training programs.

The ideal candidate should have experience in the EHS&S field, strong organizational skills, and a desire to foster a culture of safety. This position may require travel to other locations occasionally.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in EHS&S profession required.
• Preferably credentialed in the EHS&S field (i.e., ASP, CSP, CIH, CHMM, REM, etc.).
• Ability to engage associates within all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Implement and sustain the Marzetti EHS&S management system.
• Conduct accident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Administer workers’ compensation claims management.
