Job summary

H.B. Fuller in Charlotte, NC is consolidating multiple facilities into one site and seeks an experienced EHS Manager to build the EHS program from the ground up and guide the transition.

The role travels to existing locations to establish compliance, then anchors the program locally with the Charlotte facility and regional support. You will lead policy adoption, training, risk assessment, audits, incident investigations, permit management, and safety culture initiatives, reporting to the Future

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety/environmental or related field.
• 7–10+ years in an EHS-focused role in a chemical processing environment.
• 5+ years managing OSHA, EPA, NFPA & PSM regulations and other applicable regulations.
• Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with MS Office programs and EHS reporting systems.
• Excellent leadership and training skills.
• Experience facilitating accident and incident investigations and analysis.
• Ability to travel up to 10% supporting other locations and audits.
• Experience in aerospace industry a plus.

Responsibilities

• Adopt and implement EHS policies with initial focus on High-Risk Operations (HRO).
• Develop and execute training programs to meet regulatory requirements.
• Identify, evaluate and minimize safety, health, environmental and liability risks.
• Implement and maintain EHS programs, tools, and systems.
• Tailor corporate environmental programs to local needs.
• Manage permit requirements and updates to environmental programs.
• Lead incident and near-miss investigations and root-cause analyses.
• Conduct audits of processes and procedures for compliance.
• Lead hazardous and special waste management and handling.
• Promote a positive safety culture and mentor the site EHS committee.
