AlphaBEST Education is seeking a Site Director to lead an after-school program for elementary students. This part-time leadership role is ideal for educators or youth program professionals who enjoy working with children and leading a small team in a structured school-based environment.

The Site Director oversees daily program operations, ensures student safety, supports staff, and builds strong relationships with families and school partners.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of experience working with school-age children with skills in managing, planning, or staffing.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operations of the before- and after-school program.
• Maintain safe staff-to-student ratios and licensing compliance.
• Supervise and support program staff.
• Implement engaging enrichment and learning activities.
• Maintain attendance, documentation, and program records.
• Ensure a safe, inclusive, and structured environment for students.
• Communicate with families, school administration, and AlphaBEST leadership.
• Prepare the site for licensing visits and inspections.
• Monitor supplies, snacks, and program materials.

• Set schedule Monday through Friday, 2:15 PM to 6:00 PM, no weekends

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operations of the before- and after-school program
• Maintain safe staff-to-student ratios and licensing compliance
• Supervise and support program staff
• Implement engaging enrichment and learning activities
• Maintain attendance, documentation, and program records
• Ensure a safe, inclusive, and structured environment for students
• Communicate with families, school administration, and AlphaBEST leadership
• Prepare the site for licensing visits and inspections

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• At least 1 year of experience working with school-age children with skills in managing, planning, or staffing

Candidates Must Meet One Of The Following Education Requirements

• Child Development Associate (CDA), OR
• 12 college credits in child care or a related field within a minimum of 48 total college credits, OR
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in child care or a related field

Preferred

• Experience in teaching, youth programs, or childcare
• Previous team leadership or staff supervision

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work with children in an active environment
• Regular bending, standing, and lifting up to 25 pounds
